How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Bronies go nuts, and Nintendo Sucks?Equestria Girls
The trailer to "Equestria Girls" (the humanized MLP spinoff film) finally was released today. Aaaannnd everyone's freaking out. Again.
You know, it actually looks pretty decent. Bronies... please understand: I know you're a major unexpected demographic for the show. I know you enjoy seeing shout-out's become canon within the show, and appreciate how the creators do little things here and there for you. But... the show isn't made for you. This is not Cartoon Network and the target demographic isn't 25 year olds in college. You're a nice addition to the target demographic of little girls, but you are not the driving force behind MLP.
I don't want this to sound mean, but it needs to be said. This is where it becomes very important to understand the fine line between being a fan of the show and thinking that because you've invested so much energy into the show that you're entitled to things.
I'm sure the movie won't be as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It honest

I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Another A-Kon journal

Lawls, So... Saturday me and

went to A-Kon for a bit. When I say a bit, I mean... just a few hours or so.

Haha, well, last week was kinda long for me.

Thursday night we had our rehearsal dinner, Friday my brothers wedding. Saturday the convention, and then Sunday... I slept pretty much all day. XD

But anyway, we pretty much just hung out with everyone in the skit and a few others. I was sad that we didn't really hang out with anyone else. XD

When we got there we just chilled waiting to borrow the twins room, changed into Nagi and Jin from Kannagi... went down for about 30 minutes or so? then decided they were boring and hot then went back up and changed.

We chilled in the room for a bit and then just walked around downstairs for a bit, got some water then went back up to the room and practiced a bit. Then we went down to rehearsal and such... then performed. We gots best skit!

It was awesome and fun. :3

It was really fun. I really enjoyed getting to hang out with that whole group and all their friends and now my friends too! I was really glad I got to know them better and actually get to do stuff. :3

I hope I get to see everyone I missed at A-Kon, with the exception of the people going to D*C. :C BOOOO! D:

You know how the on-site registration line tends to be massive at a-kon? How is it at afest? Am I better off pre-registering or is it alright to just get on-site? I'm most likely only going to be able to go on Saturday since I'll be driving in like... Friday night or Saturday morning.

Just thought I'd ask you before I pre-reg haha

Well, Afest is also four days. X3 Which is another reason it's my favorite con. (I guess 5 if you pick up your badge Thursday night)
And to be perfectly honest... I have NO idea. For the past 3 years I volunteered in the ops room. So I never had to stand in a line or anything to get my badge. So I'm afraid I'm not much help there.

Yeah I already pre-reg'd the day they opened it. XD
Well, with it being Labor Day weekend, most people (and schools) get that Monday off. So I guess technically it can be considered a 5-day con for those who want to go on pre-reg night on Thursdays. XD; But it's all good. Afest is my favorite con I've ever been too, and I've always had fun, so I'm extra excited... (Especially for Do as Infinity! )
